Supporting our Neighbors
Through August 7th we’ll be collecting dry erase markers, paper, candy and bottles of water for the teachers and staff of Pike Road High School, just a few blocks away from us. Last year, you’ll remember, we collected Kind Bars and Starbucks drinks for the healthcare workers at Baptist East and South – over the last few years these two groups of dedicated, hard-working, heart-filled workers have served our community tirelessly in an ever-changing environment. It’s only natural they’d be feeling the burnout.
Let’s be sure to let them know that their efforts aren’t going unnoticed or unseen as they continue to pivot and adapt. You can bring donations to the back pew in the Parish Hall through Sunday August 7th – it would be particularly meaningful to include cards or notes of encouragement to the Pike Road High School teachers and staff letting them know we’re praying for a great year for them and their students!
